Victorian AIDS Council (VAC) have launched a new digital storytelling project exploring the use of meth amongst gya, bi and queer men.

The resource – Be-Longing For It – aims to stimulate and challenge viewers to reflect on the meaning of connection and intimacy for gay, bi and queer men in 2017 and their relationship to sex and drug use, in the hopes of encouraging conversations on healthy relationships and harm minimisation.

“Be~Longing For It explores themes of sexual identity, finding community, seeking connection, intimacy, mental health, risk taking behaviours, stigma, drug use, harm reduction, sex, living with HIV and the desire for belonging,” write the VAC.

The resource features a range of interviews with community members discussing their meth use, the triggers, how it makes them feel and what they’ve discovered about themselves and their relationship to TINA.
